About Me
Hello! I am Maureen Monaghan, an award winning stop motion animator and educator working in Atlanta, GA. I carry an MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. I am listed on The Georgia Council for the Arts Teaching Artist Registry and a long-time member of ASIFA-South whom I have been fortunate to collaborate with on multiple occasions. I offer services in stop motion animation, puppet building, and education. I have worked with various arts organizations including BWA Studios and Trillith Institute.

My Story
I came to animation after realizing my desire to work in an industry where my intellectual and visual interests could merge. Growing up in New Haven, Kentucky, I have always enjoyed the southern tradition of storytelling. Inspired by the quirkiness of southern tales, I was drawn to the eclectic and eccenstric world of stop motion and have been growing my craft ever since.
